Date photo taken 30-07-13 - As luck will have it, the USS Miday Museum (An American aircraft carrier Commissioned a week after the end of World War II and decommissioned in 1992) is just down from our hotel in San Diego. So we're going to take a look at it today. Date photo taken 30-07-13 - Here's Caitlin trying out one of the jets that used to fly off the Miday for size... Not sure LOgan's impressed! Date photo taken 30-07-13 - I'm just testing out one of the ejector seats... I may be a little small for it... Date photo taken 30-07-13 - The USS Midway was in commission for so long that the original planes to fly off her were propeller planes like this one! Date photo taken 30-07-13 - By the end of the Midway's life as an active aircraft carrier, she was carrying jets like this... Pretty cool or what?? Date photo taken 30-07-13 - As well as aeroplanes, the Midway also carried Chinook helicopters. The sort UNcle David flies!!! That's not a real man next to them) Date photo taken 30-07-13 - One final picture by another plane that used to fly off the USS Midway and then it's time to wander back to our hotel Date photo taken 31-07-13 - It's our last day in San Diego (we're off to Hawaii tomorrow) so we've come back to the San Diego Zoo... It has a petting zoo too!!! Date photo taken 31-07-13 - Logan feeding the goat... All the way to the US of A and the kids want to look at farm animals!!! But the Polar Bears really are great!! Anyway that's our week in San Diego over with and we're off to Maui in Hawaii tomorrow to spend a week with Uncle David and Aunty Marci
